Got into Foo Fighters, for awhile - and then Avenged Sevenfold. Then I gradually switched over to classic rock, until I became a fan of Led Zeppelin for over a decade. Then I started getting into 70s music (including stuff like Dobey Grey and Al Stewert), once I became comfortable with liking "secular" music. There was a period of time when I wanted to listen to only polkas (I was just a kid, then.) Then there were years when I would listen to nothing but Christian music (in large part because I spent a few years in a Fundamentalist Christian foster home). I myself have a rather complex history with changing music tastes. But, in this case, it sounds like you're the one being overly sensitive. A few people here have accused me of being overly sensitive, which I won't dispute. Okay, maybe that isn't the case with you - but not everyone is the same, okay? I also was not making assumptions about you personally. Questions? Suggestions? Complaints? Message the mods. Want a particular subreddit here? PM the mods! MORTAL ENEMIES

If you want to link to a reddit post or comment, take a screenshot instead and scrub identifying information. Cross-posting is only allowed if the content itself is appropriate for the subreddit. This includes usernames, group names, and photos of people. No identifying information.Īny identifying information must be cropped out or hidden. This can apply to music, other media, or societal trends at large. Posts should be images or videos of quasi-nostalgic attitudes, often with a sense of superiority. Posts must fit the spirit of the subreddit. We place a special emphasis on music, because this subreddit was created after annoyance over "born in the wrong generation" attitude often expressed by fans of 60s/70s rock. This is a subreddit dedicated to satirically mocking those people who, blinded by their own nostalgia, believe certain things in the past to be unequivocally better than today.
